history of the Plankinton Elevator Company is nearly as old as the
community of Plankinton itself. Organized in 1885 as the Farmers
Cooperative Elevator, the Elevator continues its mission of
supporting regional agriculture with the buying and selling of grains
while stocking a variety of products that support farm and ranch.
